what most people don't realize is that to get the REAL 3D experience they will have to buy new Tv's and blue rays players that are 3D equipped to send out the wireless signal to the new glasses that alternate the frames from one eye to the other. I don't think this has reached the mass market yet. so not sure if this is what people mean when they say they are waiting for the 3D version. or do they mean the old cheesy red and green or grey glasses. if so then you might as well go 2D. cause getting the new 3D tvs and dvd players will be very expensive.

Not yet seen "Avatar", so have no real idea of how well it works in 3D, so will be interesting to see if I enjoy it in 2D. In no rush, mind. Took me 10 years to catch up with "Titanic".

I think they are looking to make a quick buck on the 2D versions. I for one will be waiting for the Extended 3D Special Edition with four pairs of glasses for the full-on family experience. Avatar should always be watched in 3D, and hopefully we will get a great DVD edition soon...
